The college degrees that get you the biggest paychecks are, ironically, the same ones AI is most likely to take over.

We typically think of high-paying, high-skill jobs as the 'safe haven' from automation. This mapping of U.S. higher education reveals that the fields with the highest entry-level salaries currently have the highest exposure to AI task displacement, creating a paradoxical situation where the most 'valuable' degrees are the most fragile.

We present a transparent, reproducible framework for mapping U.S. four-year colleges and universities along two composite dimensions — Institutional Resilience and Post-College Market Position — using publicly available federal data.
